Quest - Calyce & Sagitta

Objective : Calyce Character Card

  1. Talk to Calyce. She is in Pegadilla, Port of Coimbra.
  2. Talk to the Mercenary Soldier beside Calyce to start an instanced mission involving combat. The level of mob is dependent on your level. (You can stay out of combat and let the NPCs do the fighting.)
  3. Talk to the Mercenary Soldier again and give him:-
    • [Cash Option] 25 Mystery Powders, or
    • [Free Option] 150 Shiny Crystals.
  4. Talk to Princess Gabriel. She is in the Reception Hall, Cite de Reboldoeux.
  5. Return to Calyce to receive Calyce Character Card.

 

 

Objective : lvl60 Crossbow
Prerequisite : Calyce (any level)

This is a continuation of the previous quest-line.

  1. With Calyce as leader, talk to the Gertrude Peterson (Jean-Pierre Gascon). He is located at F9, City of Auch.
  2. Talk to Gertrude again and choose the option to eavesdrop.
  3. Talk to Gertrude again after the cutscene.
  4. Talk to Gerald. He is in Pegadilla, Port of Coimbra.
  5. Talk to Calyce (using any character other than Calyce) to receive a lvl60 Crossbow.

 

 

Total Truth
Objective : Sagitta Stance Book
Prerequisite : Calyce (any level), changed map/channel after previous quest

This is a continuation of the previous quest-line.

  1. With Calyce as leader, talk to Gerard.
  2. Talk to the Mercenary Soldier nearby.
  3. Move to the indicated location in F2, Porto Bello, Deserted Quay. The trigger spot in somewhere between the six pillars.
  4. Talk to Mamon. There are some variations to this quest at this point depending on server settings. If you have received a quest version of Otite Perfume from the Mercenary Soldier in step two, activate it if it is not already activated. If you have not received the Otite Perfume, you have to activate a cash shop Otite Perfume or activate Baron Mode via player-kill. Either way, Mamon needs to recognize you as a "baron" before you can continue.
  5. Talk to Mamon again to start an instanced mission involving combat with Mamon. (He takes a while to appear. If your game crashes at this part, exit the game, go to Options in the game launcher, and switch everything to High Resolution mode.)
  6. Talk to Mamon again after the mission.
  7. Go inside the Sea Elephant Cafe of Port of Coimbra and talk to Gertrude and Gerard.
  8. Remove Calyce from active team, go to City of Auch, and talk to Auch's Gertrude using any other character.
  9. Put Calyce back in team, head back to Deserted Quay, and talk to Mamon to start another instanced mission.
  10. Within the mission, walk over the first green arrow. Let Calyce's HP fall under 50% (or just let her die) in the mission and Fritz will appear. Walk over the second green arrow and talk to Fritz to receive the Sagitta Stance Book.

Quest - Clair

Objective : Clair Character Card
Prerequisite : Claude (any level), a lot of patience or a lot of luck

  1. Talk to Clair using any character to initiate quest.
  2. Put Claude into active team and with Claude as leader, talk to Clair.
  3. Remove Claude from active team and talk to Clair again using any other character.
  4. Go to Cite de Reboldoeux and talk to Claude.
  5. Return to Clair and talk to her twice to accept a new quest.
  6. Go to Port of Coimbra and talk to Jose twice.
  7. Return to Jose with an Avocado Sandwich. (Available from Lisa.) There are two choices for the next part:
    • start an instanced mission to fight 3 lvl65 Escudo Pechers, and talk to Jose again after the mission, or
    • pay 500,000 Vis and 50 Family Reputation.
    Select either one to proceed.
  8. Buy an Elemental Jewel (costs 10,000,000 Vis) from the Item Dealer in City of Auch and return to Clair.
  9. Talk to the following 3 NPCs:
    • Vicente Rio in City of Auch,
    • Emilia in Port of Coimbra, and
    • Reboldoeux Investigator (Reboldoeux Investigation Team) in Cite de Reboldoeux.
  10. Return to Clair to receive the worst part of her recruitment quest. The quest requires the hunting of Elite Storm Cockatrices (not the purple boss, but elite version of the normal cockatrice) at Bonavista River for 2 quest items. Both the Elite Storm Cockatrice and the quest item are rare.
  11. Talk to Clair.
  12. Talk to Claude.
  13. Return to Clair to receive Clair Character Card.

 

 

Squading is strongly recommended for the part involving Elite Storm Cockatrices. The kill count is shared, and all squad members within range will get the chance to roll for the quest item individually. Whether one gets the item is still up to the individual's luck, but at least members of the squad will be sharing the kills instead of competing with each other. Members in a squad that covers a decently sized area have a far better chance of completing the quest within a reasonable amount of time than a soloist.

Quest item drops are automatically added to inventory and are not affected by drop-rate penalties from level differences. Using a triple-range team with characters who are capable of killing mobs in 1 hit is strongly recommended.

It took me close to 130 hours of afk-ing in Bonavista River to complete the hunt. There were some in my squad who completed it within a day, and there were many others still stuck at 0 when I was done.
